Beckwith Arena Rules

Teams need to have the following form printed and completed before entering the building at Beckwith. The KGHA RAMP Team app has the same questions as the Ontario check and meets Beckwith's criteria.

Spectator limit at the facility remains at 1 per child at Beckwith.

Beckwith Rules
  • Please stay home if you are ill, have symptoms of COVID-19, have been in contact with someone with known symptoms, or have been in contact wtih someone who has tested positive for COVID-19
  • Each group/league/association will be responsible for COVID-19 screening each of their participants including the parent/guardian prior to entering the facility
  • Groups/leagues/associations are responsible for submitting a contact tracing record of each participant as well as the parent/guardian. Information will include name, phone number, date, and time, Please print clearly
  • Any person who becomes ill or exhibits possible COVID-19 symptoms must notify the Township of Beckwith staff to complete contact tracing
  • Ensure you are maintaining a physical distance of six feet/two metres with anyone outside of your household or social circle
Arrival
  • It will be the responsibility of each user group/league/association to monitor the door for 20 minutes prior to the ice time(s) to allow entry and to ensure everyone has exited no more than 20 minutes after leaving the ice
    surface.
    • The designated individual should arrive 25 minutes prior to the scheduled ice time to check in with arena staff

    • The designated individual is responsible to keep a contract tracing list of all those whom enter the
      facility during their booking and it must be provided to staff before their departure.
  • When entering the facility, please use the hand sanitizer provided and wash your hands often. Face coverings must always be worn, including in the dressing rooms.
During Your Stay
  • Please be aware of your surroundings and look for signage that has been posted.
  • Persons engaged in physical sport may remove their face covering prior to stepping on the ice and must put their face covering back on after exiting the ice.
  • Access to the dressing rooms will be permitted. Each group will be limited to 20 minutes in the dressing room prior to their scheduled ice time and 20 minutes after they leave the ice.
  • Participants are encouraged to arrive dressed, except for skates, gloves, and helmet.
  • Ice times are only permitted two dressing rooms per hour of ice.
  • Unless participants require help getting dressed, they must remain in the dressing room(s) until all participants from the previous hour are off the ice, in their allocated dressing room and the Zamboni has flooded the ice.
  • Prolonged or deliberate physical contact between players/skaters on the ice is not permitted.
  • Users are not to share water bottles & all water bottles must have the participants name on it. Spitting will not be tolerated.
  • Hockey gloves must always be worn when on the ice.
  • Time keepers must wear a mask.
  • Coaches and other team staff should be wearing a face covering/mask while running a practice. Physical distance at least 2 metres/6 feet from players and other coaches at all times.
  • The canteen will remain closed until further notice.
At the Completion of your Rental Time
  • Groups will be limited to no more than 20 minutes in the dressing room after they leave the ice surface and must exit the facility immediately.
  • Showers are permitted, however you must not exceed the 20 minute time limit.

If these guidelines are not followed then there could be a chance that the Health Unit could shutdown the
facility.
