Qualification Reporting and Reimbursement

Qualification Reporting and Reimbursement

KGHA strongly believes in leveraging the qualifications gained by other sports and associations, where they are transferable. Additionally, KGHA supports the concept that supporting our association should not necessarily come at your expense. To this end we have adopted the following policies:

Qualification Reporting Requirements

In order to receive reimbursement for certifications required for your position with the KGHA, please complete the online request by clicking here. Note that you will need to have a scanned copy of the proof of payment and course completion.

Reimbursement of Costs

As Volunteers, KGHA strongly believes in supporting our people to the best of our ability. Complete details are available on this website under our Volunteer Support Program; KGHA will offset the cost of training as approved the Risk & Safety Coordinator and the VP of your team's level. We do this in two different ways:

  • Putting on clinics, based on identified need, at no cost to KGHA volunteers
  • Reimbursing volunteers who cannot attend a KGHA clinic and successfully complete a course hosted by another association

To be eligible for this support, a volunteer must be:

  • “Employed” in a position that requires the training; or
  • Identified for future employment that requires training with prior approval of the VP-House, VP-Competitive or Risk & Safety Coordinator.

If you feel you qualify for reimbursement, feel free to discuss your eligibility with, or submit a reimbursement application to the Risk & Safety Coordinator or the VP responsible for your team (either Competitive or House League).
