• ALL team staff (coaches, trainers, den moms, and managers) must apply for a PRC before October 31^st in order to remain on the staff of their respective teams

• PRCs are required for everyone who comes into contact with the girls (all team staff)

• Email safety@kgha.ca to receive a volunteer letter from KGHA to avoid payment.  Manager can email a list, or individually.

• KGHA does not receive these checks directly.  Please see your individual police service information for how they will be provided. Ottawa Police Service will complete these online. Others may mail these to you at which point you will need to scan and upload it to the KGHA Qualification Reporting.

Respect in Sport

• KGHA strongly encourages all sport parents to set aside one hour to complete the Respect in Sport for Parents online course

• All team staff are required to take Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders in addition to the parent course above.

• Parents with players in Junior FUNdamentals and Novice are required to take the Respect in Sport for Parents online course.  One parent per family is required to participate. Each parent must complete the course no later than December 31^st

• Completion of the course with another organization is acceptable but proof of completion is required by either uploading to the KGHA Qualification Reporting or adding KGHA to your Respect in Sport profile

Coach, Trainer Certifications

• All certifications (Coach, Trainer, Respect in Sport, Police Record Checks) must be submitted to the KGHA Qualification Reporting.

Concussion Protocol

• Coaches and Trainers are also required to take Concussion Awareness Training:  http://coach.ca/concussion-awareness-s16361.  Once complete, the certificate must be uploaded on the KGHA Qualification Reporting.
