Share Important Update - OWHA Policy Requiring COVID Vaccinations

Effective immediately, it is mandatory, as a condition of eligibility to participate in any OWHA-sanctioned activity, that everyone born in 2009 and earlier must be fully vaccinated (2 shots plus 14 days) as soon as possible and by no later than November 1, 2021.This decision has been made by the Ontario Women's Hockey Association (OWHA) following a meeting with Dr. Kieran Moore, Chief Medical Officer of Health for the Province of Ontario on Monday, September 27.

This vaccination mandate includes:
- All players born in 2009 and earlier
- All staff and volunteers, including coaches, trainers and officials
The
only exemption from this requirement is for two specific medical reasons.

As a member association of the OWHA, the KGHA will ensure that we are compliant with this policy so that our teams can participate in 2021-22 league and tournament play.
Any registered player or team member who
cannot provide proof of full vaccination as defined by November 1, 2021 will be removed from team rosters.
