Role: Registrar (2 people/1 role)
Candidates: Nancy Seymour & Tracy Seymour

Our names are Nancy and Tracy Seymour and we are putting our names forward, jointly, for the position of registrar. We both have daughters in KGHA and sons who play competitive hockey.  Our kids also play a number of other sports and are very active – which helps keep them out of trouble, most of the time!

We have enjoyed being coach / assistant coach / trainer for our girls' teams over the past few years and want to continue to contribute on behalf of our girls.

We both played a number of high-level competitive sports growing up and we currently play on a women’s hockey team under the OWHA umbrella. Nancy has been president of our women’s hockey association in OWHA, with Tracy as her backup, for the past 18 years. We have both participated in the registration process, and have been team managers for our women’s teams. We are familiar with the effort required to run an association and look forward to contributing as part of the KGHA executive.

Thank you for your consideration.

Role: Sponsorship, Events and Fundraising
Candidate: Dianne Douglas

My name is Dianne Douglas and I have 3 children - 2 boys in the KMHA and my daughter Charlotte in the KGHA.

Throughout the children's hockey career's I have enjoyed being a part of their teams, helping to manage and assist with team activities.  Hockey and the people we have met have been a great influence.  We have met role models, hero's, saints and made lifelong friends.  We as a family, have benefited beyond measure from being part of the greater hockey community.

I firmly believe that happiness comes from giving.  We find great satisfaction in giving back to the world around us.  Fundraising as the greater KGHA community, supporting the KGHA and its members as well as charities close to our players would be very rewarding.  Having the players involved, potentially earning volunteer hours for their involvement and experience for a resume would be a primary goal.

Fundraising Experience
-Carleton University Charity Ball
-Carleton University Frosh Week/Shinerama
-Chicks'mas - Ottawa based event that ran for 10 years raising money for Harmony House
-Managed 6 minor hockey league teams
