KGHA Competitive Coach Applications 2021-22

The KGHA is currently accepting Competitive Head Coach applications for the 2021/22 season for the Kanata Rangers teams and the U15 and U18 AA Lady Senators teams.

The selection process will consist of an evaluation of the submitted coaching application and an interview by the Coach Selection Committee. Only those candidates deemed to be appropriately qualified shall be given an interview. Candidate assessments will be based on experience, qualifications, and coaching philosophy.

NOTE: The KGHA reserves the right to withdraw open positions if an exceptionally qualified candidate is found. As per our KGHA constitution and with the situation with the 2020-2021 Competitive Hockey Season, if we deem a candidate worthy of a coaching position that they applied to, the Competitive Committee will appoint the successful applicant to the position without a competitive process.

The current plans for the 2021-2022 Kanata Rangers Competitive Program will include the following team categories (level of play and/or number of teams may change at the discretion of the KGHA Executive):

U9 (Novice)

U11 (Atom)

U18 (Midget)

U21 (Intermediate)

Interested applicants for U13, U15 and U18 2021-22 teams are to send a KGHA coach application to the VP Competitive by February 1, 2021.

We will also solicit applications for the U9 and U11 teams at a later date, in accordance with the Hockey Canada And OWHA directives.

Please note that at this time we are unable to provide dates or details for the 2021-22 KGHA Competitive tryouts. We will provide updated information on the tryout process at the time when we have been approved by our governing bodies and Ottawa Public Health to proceed.
