Call for Coach Applications - KGHA Competitive Teams 2020/21

The selection process will consist of an evaluation of the submitted coaching application and an interview by the Coach Selection Committee. Only those candidates deemed to be appropriately qualified shall be given an interview. The KGHA reserves the right to withdraw open positions if an exceptionally qualified candidate is found. Candidate assessments will be based on experience, qualifications, and coaching philosophy.

The current plans for the 2020-2021 Kanata Rangers Competitive Program will include the following team categories (level of play and/or number of teams may change at the discretion of the KGHA Executive):

U9 (Novice)
Will be determined at a later date

U11 (Atom)

*New for 2020/21, coaches will be determined at a later date, following new Hockey Canada Atom Pathway directives

U13 (PeeWee)

Interested applicants for U13 (Peewee), U15 (Bantam) and U17 (Midget) 2020-21 teams are to send a KGHA coach application to the VP Competitive by January 12th, 2020. 

 

The rationale in requesting coach applications by this date is to allow an opportunity for players of parent coach applicants to be assessed before the end of the season and also to have coaches identified by February 1, 2020.

Please note that all tryouts for U13, U15 and U17 levels will commence in April 2020.  U9 and U11 tryouts will take place at a later date as per OWHA directives for the 2020-21 season.
