Congratulations to our KGHA Rangers Atom B, PeeWee B and PeeWee BB teams who are bringing home GOLD from the Markham Stouffville Starsfest tournament!
A great showing at this early season tournament by all our KGHA teams.
Atom B shook off an early tournament round robin loss on Friday, and battled hard the rest of the way. The girls came out the Gold Medal Champions on Sunday with a 4-1 victory against the Barrie Sharks - the team they lost to on Friday!
PeeWee B shut out their opponents in three victories through round robin play, and had a decisive win in the Semi's to get them to the Finals. It was an All-Ottawa final with our Rangers coming out with a 3-1 victory over the Nepean Wildcats.
PeeWee BB came through round robin play with two wins and a tie. This set them up for another All-Ottawa final, where our Rangers battled hard to shut out the Nepean Wildcats with a 1-0 victory.
Special Silver Shoutouts to our fiesty Bantam C team. They competed in the Bantam B loop of the tournament, and played their way into the Finals. While the ladies are coming home with Silver, they definitely showed up with hustle and heart to punch above their weight class!
