Lady Sens Name 2019-20 Head Coaches

2019-03-07

The Ottawa Lady Senators and KGHA are pleased to announce the 2019-20 Head Coaches for Lady Sens Midget AA, Bantam AA and Midget A teams.

Carolyn Campbell has accepted the position for the  Lady Sens Midget AA team.  Carolyn’s playing career included 4 successful years of Intermediate AA in Ottawa before moving on the St. FX University where her team won two AUS Championships and earned four straight trips to the CIS National Championships winning Silver in 2011.  Since her playing career Carolyn has spent many hours refining her skills as a Hockey Instructor and while doing so returned to Nova Scotia as a Head Coach for four consecutive seasons split between Bantam A and Midget AA with teams winning Provincial Gold twice as well as a Silver and a Bronze. This past season Carolyn has been HC of the Lady Sens Midget A team which recently qualified for the 2019 Provincials.

Adam Tate has accepted the position for the Lady Sens Bantam AA Team.  Adam grew up in Kanata playing minor hockey with the Ottawa Valley Titans, moved to play Junior ‘A’ with the Kanata Valley Lasers, and then on to NCAA Hockey as a player and assistant coach with the University of Maine Black Bears.  Adam, a HP-1 Coach, is just completing his 7th season as a Coach in the KGHA as the HC of the Lady Sens MAA Team.  The Lady Sens MAA have had a very competitive year finishing as ODWHA regular season champs as well as winners of the Ottawa Senators Showcase Tournament in January.

Sammie Brennan has accepted the position for the Lady Sens Midget A.  Sammie played a variety of sports growing up including all his minor hockey here in Kanata, later moving on to play football at Bishops University.  After graduation he was successful in achieving a position in the CFL which included a season with the 1996 Ottawa Renegades.   Sammie’s athletic experiences have delivered invaluable exposure to great coaches and athletes.   This knowledge combined with his coaching involvement with KGHA teams over the past 7 seasons will serve him well as HC with the Lady Sens.

The remaining members of the Coaching and Team staff for all three Lady Sens teams will be finalized upon completion of tryouts and in consultation with the GM of the Lady Sens program.  Congratulations to both Carolyn, Adam and Sammie.
