2019/2020 Lady Sens Coach Appointment Announcement

While there were a number of strong candidates that did apply for the position, the change in Craig’s availability to stay on as an Associate Coach, provided a scenario where we could provide valuable continuity moving forward and continue to build on the success that Craig and his group are having this year both on and off the ice. The Lady Sens currently sit with a 13-7-4-1 record in the PWHL and are positioned to complete the regular season in a preferred playoff position.

 

Bill brings many years of Coaching experiences inside and out of the KGHA and is a solid addition to lead this group.  His teams have always displayed high character and a relentless work ethic that has allowed them to consistently be a very competitive group.  “I have been involved for a number of years now and I am constantly impressed with the amount of time and effort these athletes put in” said Bill.  “They are to be commended and I am proud to be associated with them.  I’m really looking forward to this opportunity as we have a great group of returning players and a plan in place to ensure we remain a real competitive squad for next year.  Our entire Coaching staff will be watching and evaluating lots of hockey from now right through to our tryouts in the Spring”.

 

Bill will also maintain his position as General Manager of the Ottawa Lady Senators Program, while a new role of Assistant General Manager will be filled shortly.
