Share Julia Miller To Represent KGHA At Hockey Fights Cancer Night2018-11-15
We are delighted to announce that the KGHA's own Julia Miller has been asked by the Canadian Cancer Society to join them in their partnership with this year's #HockeyFightsCancer campaign to help raise awareness of childhood cancers and continue to inspire others who are still fighting.
Thursday night’s Ottawa Senators game is Hockey Fights Cancer night and Julia has the prestigious privilege of dropping the puck at the beginning of the game. The game will be broadcast on TSN5 and NHL.com. Watch for Julia in her Rangers jersey, making us all so proud!
As part of her responsibilities, she will also be on a media tour Thursday morning promoting the game and raising awareness about Hockey Fights Cancer. CTV Ottawa Morning Live – 8:20am, MAJIC 100 FM – 8:40am, Ottawa's New Country 94 – 9:10am and TSN 1200 – 9:35am
Thank you to Julia for being an ambassador to this wonderful cause and for being a model representative of the KGHA.
Hockey Fights Cancer was founded in 1998 by the NHL and the NHLPA. Since its inception, the Hockey Fights Cancer programs of the NHL Foundation (in Canada) and the National Hockey League Foundation (in the US), along with NHL Clubs, supporters and fans, have donated more than $28 million to support the cancer programs of national and local cancer research institutions, children's hospitals, player charities and local charities.
Just like in hockey, Canadians living with cancer need support from a team and this year the Sens have agreed to designate their Hockey Fights Cancer game on November 15 to the Canadian Cancer Society and direct funds towards pediatric cancer research and support services.
