Player Of The Month - July 2018

1.    How long have you been playing hockey? When we moved to Canada so I started as a second year Novice Player so 8 years

2.    What position do you play? I've played a lot of Center but recently made the move to Wing last year full time 

3.   Favourite food or pregame meal? I usually grab a Steak or Meatball Sub when we're on the road or when we're at home it would be spaghetti with meatballs

4.    What is the best part of playing hockey? I really like that there's so much going on - lots of skill required from skating to stickhandling to shooting, but I really like the feeling of making great plays and scoring!

5.    What is the hardest part of playing hockey? Backchecking - I always work hard to come back and help out but it is tough to get back all the time and catch someone, especially if I'm low down in the offensive zone (I like to stay near the net)

6.    What is your favourite hockey memory? Has to be shootout goals - when the game is on the line (so far I am 3 for 3 in those moments and it's HUGE to be able to SCORE at key moments like that)

7.   Who is your favourite player? I use to be a big Spezza fan when he was in Ottawa but now I have 2:  Matt Duchene because I like his speed and play on the puck he works hard and then Dustin Byfuglien after this year's playoff run he was someone I always noticed - big shot, big hit, pretty exciting player

8.   Favourite Sport/Activity Outside of Hockey? Tough one as I love playing them all but I really do enjoy Baseball 

9.   When you are older where do you see yourself playing hockey? I would like to see how far I can take it and play in University but I would also like to try out for Team England as that's where I was born and see if I can make their Under 21 team in a few years

3.   Favourite food or pregame meal? Subway 6inch ham or Mom's Shepherd's Pie

4.    What is the best part of playing hockey? I like everything - I like hanging out with the girls on the team and making nice passes to them and celebrating goals we score

5.    What is the hardest part of playing hockey? I am NOT a practice person - I really like the games 

6.    What is your favourite hockey memory? Tough - as I like it when I get Player of the Game at tournaments, so I would say those or scoring a GOAL

7.   Who is your favourite player? I like Erik Karlsson

8.   Favourite Sport/Activity Outside of Hockey? I like volleyball

9.   When you are older where do you see yourself playing hockey? I would like to keep playing when I'm older and continue to have FUN
 

10. Nickname? Well my dad calls me JIBBERS or JB (don't ask) but I like it
