Pimm Named Head Coach Of Stanstead College Girls Hockey Spartans

2018-05-08

A message from Lady Sens' GM with regards to Stanstead College's recent hiring of former Lady Sens coach Bernie Pimm.

We are very pleased to report that Stanstead College announced last week that recent Lady Sens IAA Coach Bernie Pimm is joining the school as head coach of the Varsity Girls Hockey Spartans, one of the top prep school girls teams in Canada. In addition to coaching the varsity girls, Bernie will teach humanities and be actively involved in school life.

As many are aware Bernie was the head coach of the Ottawa Lady Sens of the PWHL for the past 2 seasons which included a remarkable turnaround 2017-18 season which had the Team move from last place to 7th overall .  In addition the Lady Sens earned a first-round play-off win against the London Devilettes which was their first play-off victory since 2012.

“Bernie Pimm is a proven coach but also a teacher and a man with much life experience,” said Stanstead’s Director of Hockey Operations James Rioux. “He understands boarding school culture and is the right fit to lead our program. I am confident that he will work diligently for each and every one of our players and fully immerse himself into the Stanstead lifestyle.”

Bernie will remain as an Advisor to the Lady Sens program.  Congratulations Bernie and best of luck!
