A Message From The Coach: Lady Sens Bantam AA Tryout Details

Hello Parents and Players,

My name is John Steenbakkers and I am looking forward to getting started, and once again to working with the Lady Sens organization for the 2018-19 season and the Bantam AA Team. Entering my 9^th year of coaching, I will continue to try build on the Lady Sens program off of its solid foundation, and build a team that will compete every night through hard work, team structure, while continually working on improving the player’s individual skill sets.
Please see below for the Tryout Schedule and details.  Based on the registration numbers, the first 2 Sessions (Wednesday/ Thursday) will be likely split into 2 groups based on your last name. (There may be the need for some minor adjustments based to the splits based on numbers in each group).
 
The first session will be individual skills; the next 2 sessions will be scrimmages (4v4 & 5v5) and intra-squad games, and finally an exhibition game.  

All registered are invited to the first two sessions. The first releases will be made after the Thursday night scrimmages and they will be posted on the KGHA website.

The Bantam AA team will be attending the following Showcase Weekends and tournaments throughout the season:

• Stoney Creek Showcase – September
• Etobicoke - October
• USA / Can Cup showcase (Waterloo) – Late November
• Lady Sens Showcase (Kanata) – January
• Quebec City Showcase –Early Feb

There will be more details communicated during the tryouts towards the final selections regarding budget / time commitments etc.

I look forward to seeing the girls on the ice and getting the team selection process underway.
