The KGHA Midget girls were thrilled to host a women’s hockey team from the United Arab Emirates yesterday at KRC!
The UAE team was on a tour that started in Washington, led to Chicago and ended up here, in Kanata. They scrimmaged with Midget house 5 (with some infill from Midget house 1) at the KRC at noon on Saturday. The UAE and Kanata teams were split in half and it was made a mixed scrimmage. The UAE team left right after the scrimmage, as they were hosted by the Senators at their 2PM game versus the New York Rangers.
There was a documentary crew that was present, as they were filming this as part of Hockey is for Everyone.
