The KGHA is sorry to announce the resignation of Jason Sass from the role of Vice President, Competitive Hockey. Jason brought a vision of high level, innovative and structured competitive hockey to KGHA, which he executed with energy and effort. Thanks to Jason, tryouts were systematized with external evaluators and dedicated tryout jerseys, and a program was developed to ensure that Hockey Canada development guidelines, testing and drills were aligned with KGHA player development.
The KGHA is also very sorry to announce that Steve Chadwick has stepped down as General Manager of the Lady Sens Intermediate AA team. After almost three years on the job, Steve regretfully tendered his resignation in January for precautionary health reasons. While noting that the team has achieved considerable progress this season, Steve sincerely wished he could have continued to help the Association execute the vision for the Lady Sens high performance program. The KGHA appreciates Steve's contributions both as the Lady Sens GM and as a member of the Association's executive committee.
"The KGHA and the Lady Sens have provided my daughter with an amazing minor hockey experience for 12 years," said Steve. "As I leave, I just want to thank the incredible coaches, team managers and trainers that she has had along the way, as well as the hard-working members of the executive committee whose efforts behind-the-scenes make it possible for our daughters to play this great game."
