ShareRangers and Condors battle to 11-11 draw!
2017-12-17
The Kanata Rangers Midget A team recently had the opportunity to join the Capital City Condors and take part in both a skills session and an exhibition game. The Capital City Condors are a family of ice hockey teams for those who are unable to play on any other hockey team due to a developmental disability. Players are ages 6 and up, of all ability levels and are each given a high degree of personal care and attention by the Condors on-ice coaches.
Both teams had a lot of fun learning from each other and raising awareness about special needs hockey. In the exhibition game, the two teams traded opportunities and had a blast en route to a close 11-11 draw. Well done Rangers and Condors!
The condors are coached by Shawn LeBouthillier, assisted by Mike Barrett. The KGHA Midget team is coached by Marc Switalski, assisted by Jim Corkery and Erik Hobbins. Kudos to all the coaches and players for this excellent initiative to raise awareness about special needs hockey.
