th DIFD Night in Ottawa, we are organizing an
Is It Just Me? Mental Health information night geared towards female athletes. The mission of DIFD is to raise awareness, inspire conversations and transform youth mental health. As such, we wanted to create an opportunity to inform and educated the female athlete in the Ottawa area. This event is geared towards youth in grades 9-12 and will provide the girls with mental health information and coping strategies to help with juggling their busy athletic schedules and teenage life.
Is it Just Me? is an education series designed to start open, informal conversations with youth on mental wellness and mental health issues. Whether it is about depression, anxiety or substance use, the goal is to break down barriers of silence and get youth talking. Athletes attending
Is It Just Me? will hear personal stories about mental illness and will receive sound clinical information on mental health from professional at The Royal. Here is an overview of the evening:

There is no fee for this event however you
must pre-register your team via email (difdnight2017@gmail.com) We do not need individual names, but please include the number of players who will be attending.
NOTE – the auditorium has a capacity of 185, and as such, registration will be on a first come, first serve basis.
